About the role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Onboarding Specialist to join our Talent Acquisition team in Overland Park, KS. In this role, you will own the end-to-end onboarding process for new hires across the U.S., ensuring a seamless experience from offer acceptance to first day. You will coordinate hospital clearance and credentialing for technicians, manage compliance requirements, and maintain onboarding systems to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and positive employee experience.

This position plays a critical role in supporting our mission by ensuring our employees are properly credentialed and ready to serve our hospital partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • New Hire Onboarding
    • Manage onboarding for all new hires across the U.S., ensuring a smooth, timely process.
    • Guide employees through pre-employment requirements, ensuring clear communication and support.
    • Adjudicate background checks in compliance with company policies.
    • Complete and verify Form I-9 documentation at time of hire.
  • Hospital Clearance & Credentialing
    • Coordinate and submit required hospital clearances and credentialing documents for new hires.
    • Track and manage ongoing hospital clearance renewals, ensuring employee compliance before expiration dates.
    • Partner with hospital HR teams to maintain up-to-date records of all hospital-specific requirements.
  • Onboarding Systems & Process Improvement
    • Administer the onboarding platform, ensuring accuracy of data and a positive employee experience.
    • Continuously evaluate onboarding workflows and recommend process improvements to streamline the experience.
    • Collaborate with HR, Operations, and Hiring Managers to ensure alignment and efficiency.
  • Compliance & Record Management
    • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and hospital-specific regulations related to onboarding and credentialing.
    • Stay current on changes to employment eligibility and credentialing requirements.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in HR, onboarding, credentialing, or a related role (healthcare experience preferred).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in data entry and document management.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to provide a positive candidate/employee experience.
  • Familiarity with I-9 compliance and background check adjudication.
  • Proficiency in HRIS or onboarding systems (experience implementing or improving processes is a plus).
