Are you a passionate School Social Worker looking to make a lasting impact in a supportive, vibrant school community? Our partner school is seeking a full-time School Social Worker to join our team ASAP!
Caseload & Support:
- Current caseload of approximately 35 students with IEPs
- Building includes a self-contained Early Intervention (EI) classroom with 4 students
- Another School Social Worker is on-site supporting general education and at-risk students, allowing for strong collaboration and shared support
- Office space
Role Highlights:
- Provide IEP-driven social work services in an elementary setting
- Collaborate closely with special education teams, teachers, and families
- Support students with social, emotional, and behavioral needs

Responsibilities:
- Provide effective social work services to support students.
- Support and service in classroom groups.
- Help with screening students.
- Provide strong and effective social work services and support.
- Deliver emotional support strategies to students.
- Establish strong and healthy relationships with both students and parents/guardians.
- Educate parents/guardians on intervention strategies.
- Connect students and families with community mental health organizations if necessary.
Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Social Work
- Must possess S310 form- Approval to work in MI schools
- Previous school social work experience is preferred.
