A full-time school speech therapist opportunity is available in Smithfield, VA, focusing on pediatric speech-language pathology within an educational setting. This contract position spans the entire school year, providing a consistent and impactful role supporting student communication development.

This role is ideal for both experienced clinicians and Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates seeking hands-on experience in pediatric speech-language pathology. The position requires onsite availability throughout the school year, allowing you to collaborate directly with educators and families to support students' speech and language needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students in the school setting
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to pediatric clients
  • Provide direct therapy services to students with speech and language disorders
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with school and district regulations
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary approaches for student success

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Eligibility for or holding state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • CFY candidates encouraged to apply
  • Experience or interest in pediatric speech therapy within schools
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
