Position Overview:Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg 5W
Full-Time | Weekend Option | Day ShiftsSchedule: Friday, Saturday, Sunday | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Sign-On Bonus: Up to $10,000

Role Summary:

Utilizing our nursing framework and process, you will provide high-quality patient care. You will be responsible for the care of your assigned patients, coordinating with other departments as necessary. Ensuring patient rights and confidentiality is essential.

QualificationsEducation

Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program with one of the following:

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Nursing Diploma
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Licensure

  • Must possess and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment
  • Alternatively, a compact license may be accepted, in accordance with state board regulations
  • Responsible for adhering to all licensure requirements

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to regularly push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking during each shift
  • Must be capable of gripping, reaching, bending, kneeling, twisting, and squatting to fulfill job responsibilities

Certifications

  • Required:
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (or completion within 30 days of hire)
  • May be required based on unit/role:
    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
    • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
    • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
    • Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC)
    • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
    • Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS)
    • S.T.A.B.L.E. Program
    • Certified Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurse (CPHON)
    • Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN)
    • Fetal Monitoring Certification (C-EFM)
    • Other unit-specific certifications as needed

Experience

  • Relevant clinical experience is preferred
  • Specific experience requirements may differ by department or unit

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education: BSN is preferred
  • Licensure: Multi-state or compact license is preferred
  • Experience: Previous experience in a specialty area or similar clinical environment
  • Certifications: Additional certifications relevant to the unit or specialty
  • Other: A demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care and ongoing professional development
