Job Title: Billing Specialist
Classification: Non-exempt (Hourly)
Reports To: Billing Manager

Summary: The Billing Specialist is responsible for the accounts receivable process. Primary responsibilities include generating invoices, receiving and reconciling customer and vendor payments, and collection procedures, all with a great deal of accuracy and professionalism.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Receptionist duties such as greeting office visitors, answering phones, etc.
- Clerical duties, such as filing, receiving and sorting mail, making copies, preparing correspondence, scheduling meetings, etc.
- Data entry
- Entering payments into QuickBooks
- Collection procedures
- Generating invoices on a daily basis
- Month-end billing procedures
- Weekly reconciliation of payments
- Communicating with other departments to ensure billing has all information necessary for invoicing
- Collect payments over the phone
- Pulling invoices as payments are received
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Prior billing experience required
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of QuickBooks and accounting fundamentals
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to adapt to various situations and prioritize assignments and responsibilities
- Excellent organizational skills
Required Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar position is preferred.
- Previous experience with Service Titan is preferred.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
- Must be able to pass a background and drug screen.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
Compensation: $16.00 to $20.00 per hour

Physical Activity:
Stooping, kneeling, reaching, lifting, grasping, typing, talking, hearing, repetitive motion.
Physical Requirements:
Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Involves sitting most of the time.
Visual Acuity Requirements:
Employees in this position are required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; and/or extensive reading.
Working Conditions:
The employee is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
- Full-time. Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm
- Weekend or evening hours are rare, but are typically optional and coincide with sponsorship and community events
Travel:
Local travel within a 5-mile radius for business-related errands may be required at times, but will be rare. Employees who utilize their personal vehicle for business-related travel are reimbursed for mileage at the current year’s IRS mileage rate.
