Job Title: Assistant Manager - Transportation & Shuttle Services
Department: Parking & Transportation

Status: FT Year Round Salary

Reporting To: Manager of Transportation


Position Overview:


The Transportation & Shuttle Services Assistant Manager will provide direct supervision of transportation staff. Functions as advisor to unit and administration and sets goals and objectives for team members. Analyzes and resolves problems through drawing from prior experiences. Interprets and updates policies and procedures. Demonstrates solid subject matter knowledge. Supervise, train, and aid in the hiring of staff. Schedules staff to business needs and within budget


Key Responsibilities:

  • Previous leadership experience within transportation environment
  • Manages employee scheduling, work assignments, communication, and personal development.
  • Evaluates employees performance, gives regular feedback, and assists manager with annual performance reviews.
  • Monitors work activities to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Makes recommendations for changes and improvements to existing standards, policies and procedures.
  • Assist with new hire training and driver compliance

Requirements and/or Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Ability to organize processes and people
  • Must be able to work independently, make decisions and problem solve
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and foster a teamwork atmosphere.
  • Ability to maintain current, accurate documentation and comply with all Federal, State and local regulations, Powder Mountain policies and procedures, and relevant industry standards.
  • Knowledge, skill and competency in working with diverse populations
  • Ability to respond appropriately and in a timely manner to emergencies and crisis situations
  • Proficiency with computer software, especially Google platform.
  • Previous professional experience as Shuttle Driver or transportation team
  • Strong knowledge of CDL and driving requirements.
  • Has or can obtain CDL class C with passenger endorsement
  • College degree - preferred
  • 21 years or older
  • Diploma or GED Required

Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform physical activities such as, but not limited to:

  • Full range of body movements
  • Reach, push, pull, lift, and carry objects that may be heavy (40+lbs)
  • Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, bending, and twisting
  • Walk on even/uneven/slippery terrain
  • Climb/descend stairs
  • Manual dexterity to operate vehicles on constant basis

Working Environment:


Frequent exposure to outside temperature, noise levels, frequent and prolonged exposure to sitting and operating vehicles and office-based work.
