Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A travel opportunity is available for a full-time Special Education Teacher specializing in developmental cognitive disabilities (DCD) and autism spectrum disorder (ASD) supporting students in a Setting 3 classroom. This role is based in Saint Paul, MN, for the 2026-2027 school year, starting August 31, 2026, and concluding June 4, 2027. The position involves working with a caseload of approximately 6-10 students, providing tailored educational support and fostering a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and support to students with DCD and ASD
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with state standards
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to address student needs and progress
- Manage classroom behavior and create an inclusive, supportive environment
- Monitor and document student growth and modify teaching strategies accordingly
Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid teaching license with ASD or DCD endorsement
- Eligible for Tier 3 and Tier 4 licensing levels only
- Previous experience teaching Special Education, particularly in ASD or DCD settings
- Strong understanding of developmental disabilities and autism spectrum disorders
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
Hours and Location:
- Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
- One school building in Saint Paul, MN
- Travel assignment for the 2026-2027 school year
