The Family YMCA of Greater Augusta is seeking a dependable, organized Food Program Lead to oversee meal preparation, packaging, and distribution for children throughout the CSRA.

This hands-on leadership position helps ensure children receive nutritious meals while maintaining safe, efficient food service operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate food preparation staff.

• Oversee daily meal packaging, inventory, and distribution.

• Ensure compliance with USDA and food safety regulations.

• Maintain accurate meal counts, records, and reports.

• Coordinate meal deliveries and communicate with program leadership.

• Promote a safe, positive, and team-oriented work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.

• 3–5 years of food service or cafeteria management experience preferred.

• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

• ServSafe Food Handler certification preferred.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment and meet physical job requirements.

• Must pass required background checks and obtain CPR/AED/First Aid certification within 45 days of hire.
