Who we are: We are the largest Distributor of fishing tackle in California and have been in operation for over 35 years. With continuous expansion and growth, we’re looking for a graphic designer/Social Media Manager to join our team.
Job Description:
MUST HAVE FISHING KNOWLEDGE TO APPLYThe Graphics Designer and Social Media Manager will be responsible for creating all in-store and online promotional advertisements (in both print and digital formats). This position is a fast-paced environment as part of our Operations Team and must be self-motivated, highly organized, work well individually and with the various members of our Operations team. This position will be responsible for communicating promotional ideas in the form of presentations, print media and prototypes. Ideas will be communicated clearly and effectively, verbally and visually. The Social Media and Promotions Manager must be able to work under deadlines while maintaining flexibility, displaying initiative, contributing creative ideas, and engaging with leadership as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Create visually appealing promotional advertisements for various marketing materials, including print advertisements, digital graphics, and social media.
- Collaborate with our Operations and Buying team to determine what products to advertise
- Demonstrate the ability to initiate and lead a project from idea to print.
- Ability to generate new and original ideas within the parameters of stated objectives
- Demonstrate excellent organizational skills with an eye for detail.
- Excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and production skills.
- Design layouts for brochures, flyers, and other promotional materials.
- Ensure that all designs are visually consistent and meet quality standards
- Share and create promotional advertisements to social media outlets
- Must be able to initiate communication between all teams involved in promotions to ensure advertisements are posted in the store and online
Skills:
- Proficient in graphic design software full working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Strong understanding of creating retail promotional advertisements for both print and digital medias
- Experience with photo manipulation and video editing software
- Must be able to post and format promotional ads for social media outlets
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills to effectively present design concepts for retail store promotions

Required: Must be able to produce a recent portfolio (0-6 months)
