Radiation Therapist - Contract
Houston, TX
Pay Rate: $44/hour
Contract Dates: May 11 - August 8, 2026
Schedule: Full-Time | 40 hours/week | Day Shift (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, may vary)
Protouch Staffing is partnering with a leading healthcare system in Houston to hire an experienced Radiation Therapist for a contract opportunity at a busy outpatient cancer treatment facility in West Houston area.
Position Overview
The Radiation Therapist will be responsible for delivering safe, accurate radiation treatments to patients while providing compassionate, patient-centered care. This role involves close collaboration with physicians, nurses, and medical physicists to ensure optimal treatment outcomes.
Key Responsibilities

Administer prescribed radiation therapy treatments to patients

Perform patient simulations and treatment set-ups
-
Operate and calibrate radiation therapy equipment (LINAC required)

Monitor patients during treatment and document patient responses

Explain treatment procedures and address patient questions or concerns

Maintain accurate and detailed patient treatment records
-
Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and safety standards
Requirements
-
Active Radiation Therapist credentials (per state/facility requirements)
-
LINAC experience required
-
Current experience in radiation therapy (2+ years preferred)

Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety

Ability to work on-site and provide direct patient care

Resume and completed skills checklist required

Willing to complete the on-boarding/credentialing process which includes a few of the following:
-
Titers (MMR, Varicella, HepB)
-
TDAP, TB Skin Test or Chest x-ray
-
Highest level Education Transcripts
-
Pass Criminal Background and Drug Screening
-
Complete Competency testing.
