Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license and minimum 1+ years Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A Substitute Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is needed to provide school-based health room coverage and ensure continuity of care when regular nursing staff are unavailable. This role supports student wellness, safety, and academic readiness through professional nursing practice in the educational environment.
Responsibilities / Duties:

Deliver first-aid, emergency care, and medication administration according to school health protocols and physician orders.

Monitor and assist students with chronic conditions, implement health care plans, and document nursing interventions accurately.

Maintain student health records and report findings to supervising Registered Nurse or school administrator.

Promote healthy practices, infection prevention, and wellness awareness among students and staff.

Respond to medical emergencies promptly and coordinate with guardians or emergency services when needed.

Adapt to different school assignments and maintain professional conduct consistent with district policies.
Qualifications / Desired Experience:

Active Pennsylvania Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required.

Experience in school, pediatric, or community health settings preferred.

Knowledge of health room procedures, medication protocols, and school health documentation.

Strong clinical judgment, organizational skills, and ability to work independently.

Must complete all Pennsylvania clearances, including child abuse, state police, and FBI fingerprint background checks.

Reliable transportation and flexibility to cover multiple school sites on short notice.
