New upscale restaurant in Coconut Grove is looking for a Sous Chef!
This role is ideal for a chef who takes pride in consistency, organization, and executing high-quality dishes in a fast-paced, team-driven environment. You will be responsible for running your station with precision, maintaining standards, and supporting the kitchen team in delivering an exceptional guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute menu items to recipe and plating standards with consistency and attention to detail
- Own and manage a designated station during service
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked workstation
- Complete daily prep and mise en place to support smooth service
- Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation standards
- Communicate clearly with chefs and team members during service
- Assist with inventory, prep planning, and minimizing waste
- Support opening and closing procedures
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a professional kitchen (casual fine dining preferred)
- Strong understanding of cooking techniques and kitchen fundamentals
- Ability to work clean, organized, and efficient under pressure
- Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills
- Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Food safety certification (or willingness to obtain)
