Industrial Electrician | Norton Shores, MI

Salary Range: $58,000 - $90,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Norton Shores seeking Industrial Electricians who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and components in a manufacturing environment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical malfunctions in machinery, control systems, and wiring.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems to ensure optimal operation and minimize downtime.
  • Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Adhere strictly to all electrical codes, safety regulations (e.g., NFPA 70E), and company policies.
  • Work with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), and motor control systems.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent state/provincial certification.
  • Proven experience with PLC programming, troubleshooting, and repair in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  • Expertise in diagnosing and repairing industrial electrical systems, motor controls, and variable frequency drives (VFDs).
  • Thorough understanding and adherence to safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with industrial robotics electrical systems.
  • Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) experience.
  • Proficiency with CMMS/EAM software for work order management.
  • Advanced Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) programming and troubleshooting experience.
  • NFPA 70E Qualified Person certification.
