Job DescriptionDante is seeking a host/service assistant! We specialize in Neapolitan pizza, Italian wine and work with fresh, local ingredients. The functions of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Managing bookings, either in person, over the phone, or online
- Providing waiting times to customers who are not pre-booked
- Maintain menus
- Creating an appropriate atmosphere for guests thats in line with the restaurant and bars image, this include music, maintain live plants, appropriate lighting
- Ensuring cleanliness and hygiene standards are met in the front of house area
- Providing a point of contact for customer feedback and helping to resolve any customer issues
- Providing personalized service and assistance for large parties of guests and VIPs
- Cater to guests who require extra attention (e.g. children, elderly)
- Assisting with the opening, ongoing operations and closing of the restaurant
- Assisting the waitstaff as needed ensuring everything is available for smooth service
- Taking care of online and over the phone carryouts orders
- Learning the food and beverage menu and being able to answer any inquiries and recommend products
Tips share is also part of the pay.
