Opportunity Overview
- Position Type: 1.0 FTE
- Location: Grand Rapids, MI
- Specialty: Geriatrics
- Practice Information: Our Geriatrics team provides care in various environments, including home-based, facility-based, and outpatient clinic settings.
- Teaching Opportunities: Yes - Involvement with Residents, Medical Students, and Fellows
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM
- Call Requirements: Shared among providers; home call only
- Visit Duration: Sufficient time allocated to address the needs of a complex patient population

Qualifications
- Open to recent graduates with geriatrics fellowship training or experienced candidates in Internal Medicine/Family Medicine.
- Physicians: Must be board certified in a relevant clinical area or board eligible, with a commitment to achieve board certification within five years of the start date (unless otherwise required by applicable medical staff bylaws).
- Possession of an active Michigan medical license (or the ability to obtain one).
- DEA license required.
- BLS certification (must be maintained).
Responsibilities
A typical day may involve:
- Delivering direct patient care
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Engaging in teaching and mentoring activities
- Documenting patient information in Epic EMR
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives
- Supporting community health initiatives
