Job DescriptionIndustrial Belting & Transmission is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Accounting team as a Staff Accountant!
In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with various accounting tasks including:
- Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records
- Processing invoices
- Reconciling bank statements
- Assist AR collections
- Reconcile accounts including AP and AR.
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly financial reports
- Maintaining general ledger accounts
- Supporting Senior Accounting staff in various projects as needed
- Assist with sales tax compliance in multiple states
- Answer the phones and direct calls to the correct person/department.
- Answer the door and facilitate visitor sign-in.
- Assist with month-end and year-end accounting duties.
- Perform various other duties as assigned to meet business objectives.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in Accounting
- Must have a solid understanding of basic Accounting principles.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with Accounting software is preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to work on-site; Monday - Friday
- Knowledge with supplier rebates.
