POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive Payroll Associate to join our team in Bardonia, NY. This role reports directly to the Payroll Director and will be responsible for supporting payroll processing and related functions. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with Paylocity, strong organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Assist with end-to-end payroll processes as part of a collaborative payroll team
- Review and audit overtime and timecards to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Manage and validate travel reimbursements and associated receipts
- Assist in implementing and automating payroll policies within Paylocity
- Monitor 401(k) auto-enrollment and educate new employees on enrollment/opt-out options
- Communicate with 401(k) plan vendors and address employee inquiries
- Audit payroll adjustments and ensure appropriate documentation and accuracy
- Oversee timecard adjustments and verify entries to prevent time theft
- Generate and analyze payroll-related reports
- Handle claims and inquiries related to workers’ compensation and unemployment
- Ensure timely and compliant payroll practices across assigned portfolio
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven experience using Paylocity for payroll processing is ideal
- Prior office experience in payroll or a related field
- Strong working knowledge of Excel and general office systems
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented with a high level of integrity and discretion
- Comfortable handling sensitive and sometimes challenging conversations
