The Project Engineer/Specialist will be located in our Research and Development Center, working within the Manufacturing Technology Group (MTech) and will assist in the development of concepts and engineered solutions for process and technical issues found in the investment casting and coating industries, and will manage the assembly and implementation of engineering projects and equipment construction.
Primary Responsibilities
• Assist in the development of, and will maintain project build schedules to ensure completion within budget and delivery schedules
• Manage customer and supplier/vendor relationships, ensure projects meet customer requirements.
• Assist with quoting and soliciting bids for projects
• Coordinate equipment build process within MTech fabrication area, organize shipment and installation on-site of equipment at customer facilities.
• Supervise lead technicians and team members through the build process while adhering to EHS requirements.
• Coordinate with internal design engineers, fabrication resources, and external suppliers
• Provide engineering solutions and document changes to any situations that may occur during development and construction of equipment.
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's of Science degree in Engineering from an accredited institution
• Minimum of three (3) years' experience managing project builds in machine design or a manufacturing environment
• In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an Associate’s degree with an Engineering focus and a minimum of seven (7) or more years of experience managing project builds in a machine design or manufacturing environment will be considered
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
• This position is subject to the International traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status.
Preferred Qualifications
• Proven ability to manage equipment builds on schedule and within budget.
• Proven ability to manage equipment build processes, organize and direct floor personnel and materials.
• Proficient with Microsoft Project a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Experience with AutoCAD and Solid Works 3-D design software
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Must be organized and able to work in a team environment
