Fabrication Lead | Walker, MI
Salary Range: $51,000 - $78,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the fabrication team, assigning tasks and managing workflow.
- Ensure all fabricated parts meet quality standards, specifications, and blueprints.
- Oversee the setup, operation, and maintenance of fabrication equipment.
- Monitor material inventory, order supplies, and minimize waste in fabrication processes.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures within the fabrication area.
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions to maintain schedules.
- Provide training and mentorship to team members to enhance skills and productivity.
Recommended Qualifications
- Extensive experience in diverse fabrication techniques (e.g., welding, machining, forming) and equipment operation.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
- Proven leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing or fabrication shop.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for quality control.
- Thorough understanding of safety protocols and best practices in a fabrication environment.
Bonus Qualifications
- Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Mastercam).
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Advanced welding certifications (e.g., AWS D1.1, D1.2, D1.6) or experience operating specialized fabrication equipment (e.g., laser cutters, CNC press brakes).
- Demonstrated experience in project management or coordinating complex fabrication jobs.
- Prior experience in mentoring, training, or developing junior fabricators.
