Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A K-12 educational institution in Williamsburg, VA, is seeking a skilled School Psychologist for a contract position throughout the current school year. This role offers the opportunity to support a diverse student population by providing psychological services that enhance academic success and emotional well-being.
Responsibilities include conducting psychoeducational assessments, collaborating with teachers and parents to develop individualized education plans (IEPs), consulting on behavioral interventions, and contributing to school-wide initiatives promoting mental health. The psychologist will also provide counseling and crisis intervention as needed to support student development.
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology
- Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Experience working with K-12 students from diverse backgrounds
- Proficiency in administering and interpreting psychological assessments
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with educators, families, and students
- Ability to develop and implement effective behavioral and academic interventions
