Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an ICU/CCU position requiring a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, with night shift hours and a 1:2 patient ratio.
Details
- ICU/CCU unit located on the 3rd floor of a main hospital building with 16 beds and a staff of 60
- 1:2 RN-to-patient ratio
- Night shift: 5:00 PM – 5:00 AM
- Equipment used includes cardiac monitors, ventilators, IV pumps, and tube feed pumps
- EMR: Meditech (prior experience preferred)
- Common procedures include intubations and central line placement
- Medical ICU and neuro patient population (preferred experience)
Requirements
- Active CO or compact RN license required
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical ICU experience required
- Minimum 1 year of recent acute care ICU hospital experience in the specialty
- US SSN and date of birth required for consideration — no Canadian SSNs accepted
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- One professional reference required
Additional Information
- Prior Meditech EMR experience is preferred
- Experience with medical ICU and neuro patient populations is preferred
- Collaborative, team-oriented candidates are encouraged to apply
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not accepted
- AHA or ARC certifications accepted; certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start
