Primary title: Digital Marketing Specialist
Industry Sector: Public education — K–12 school district communications and community engagement. This role supports enrollment outreach, family and community engagement, internal communications, and district initiatives through data-driven digital channels. The position is fully remote and works cross-functionally with instructional, operations, and district leadership teams.
About the Opportunity
Join Wilson County Schools as a Digital Marketing Specialist to shape how the district tells its story online. You will build and execute targeted digital campaigns, maintain the district’s web presence, and produce multimedia content that increases family engagement, supports student recruitment, and amplifies key district messages.
Role Responsibilities
- Plan, launch, and optimize integrated digital campaigns across social, search, display, and email to support enrollment, events, and public information goals.
- Manage district social channels: create content calendars, schedule posts, respond to community inquiries, and grow engagement metrics.
- Maintain and update the district website using the CMS; implement on-page SEO and accessibility best practices to improve discoverability.
- Build, deploy, and analyze email marketing campaigns; segment audiences and report on open, click, and conversion metrics.
- Execute and monitor paid media (Google Ads, Meta); track performance, manage budgets, and recommend optimizations to maximize ROI.
- Produce and edit visual and video assets consistent with brand guidelines; prepare assets for web, social, and community communications.

Qualifications
