This full-time, contract opportunity offers a unique Monday through Thursday schedule, giving you a long weekend every week to balance your professional and personal life. Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional or behavioral technician (BT) preferred
- Familiarity with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and related classroom strategies a plus
- Ability to work effectively with students requiring a range of supports
- Excellent communication skills and a patient, flexible attitude
- Reliable and punctual with a strong commitment to student well-being
- Collaborative mindset to assist lead teachers and therapists
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students individually or in small groups within an ASD classroom
- Follow individualized education plans and behavior intervention strategies
- Assist with academic, behavioral, and life skills activities under teacher guidance
- Foster a safe and inclusive classroom climate
- Assist with classroom organization, preparation of materials, and supervision during activities
- Communicate effectively with teachers, therapists, and school staff to share progress and insights
