Recreational Therapist - Behavioral Medicine

Job Description

This position involves organizing and coordinating recreational activities such as sports, arts and crafts, social events, and nature studies to enhance patients' physical, mental, and social well-being.

It requires preparing progress reports and adjusting programs collaboratively with the treatment team based on patient needs and capacities.

The role includes implementing therapeutic recreation within an interdisciplinary team, executing treatment plans accurately, and maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Requirements include a Bachelor's Degree in Recreation or a related field, a valid Therapeutic Recreation Specialist license, at least one year of experience in therapeutic recreation, and appropriate certifications such as CTRS or TRS/TXC. CPR and CPI certifications are also required within 90 days of hire.
