Job Description

The Warrick County Court Appointed Special Advocate (“CASA”) Program is a program that recruits, screens, and trains volunteer child advocates to work in the court system in collaboration with other key agencies, legal counsel, and community resources to represent the best interests of children in juvenile court proceedings. CASA advocates make recommendations regarding appropriate protective and rehabilitative services necessary to ensure a safe and permanent home for every child adjudicated as a child in need of services within the county.

* Assist in the recruiting, screening, interviewing and training of new volunteers
* Review new cases and assign appropriate volunteers in consultation with the Executive Director
* Prepare and distribute assignment documentation
* Review and distribute volunteer court reports
* Maintain case files
* Enter data on all new and existing cases into the program in a timely manner
* Attend court hearings and track court dates
* Provide assistance and consultation for volunteers as needed and when requested
* Attend in-service trainings and assist in the evaluation of the program
* Assist in volunteer appreciation events
* Attend conferences and meetings as requested by the Executive Director
* Other duties deemed necessary or requested by the Executive Director
