Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Lead to oversee daily warehouse operations and support a team in a fast-paced distribution environment. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, forklift experience, and solid computer skills for managing inventory and tracking shipments.
Schedule: 9AM - 5:30PM Mon- Fri, and occasionally the last Saturday of the month.
Pay Rate: $25/hr.
Position Type: Temp-to-Hire
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and assist warehouse team in daily tasks including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory control.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assign work, monitor productivity, and ensure safety and quality standards are met.
- Train new warehouse associates on proper procedures, safety, and equipment use.
- Perform cycle counts and help maintain accurate inventory records.
- Use computer systems to track inventory, process orders, and generate reports.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, drivers, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and OSHA safety regulations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to order discrepancies or inventory shortages.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 2-3 years of leadership experience in a warehouse environment
- Computer Skills: Microsoft Suite proficient level, particularly Excel
- Equipment: Forklift certified - reach, cherry picker, sit down
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- SAP experience preferred
- Bilingual (English and Spanish)
