Compensation
- The pay for this position is $21.50 per hour
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
Highlights
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to extend or convert based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
- The required availability for this position is Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Responsibilities
- Enter new prescriptions and patient demographics into the data processing system
- Process prescription exceptions, including resolving claim rejections and member/physician outreach
- Assist with inbound and outbound calls from patients and physician offices
- Load insurance plans and coordination of benefits for new referrals
- Support pharmacists by escalating questions and assisting with processing direction
- Participate in audits of test claims and handle reorders and distribution emails
- Perform backend pharmacy support such as picking, packing, and manifesting as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation, image indexing, and AE report filing
- Provide support for specialized pharmacy programs and disease-state specific workflows
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days
- 2–4 years of Pharmacy Technician experience
- Current Pharmacy Technician registration and certification as required by state of operation
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in prescription processing or pharmacy fulfillment
- Experience working in a high-volume pharmacy environment
