Key Responsibilities

- Set up welding equipment, including power sources, electrodes, and gas supplies
- Clean and prepare metal surfaces for welding
- Hold and position workpieces during welding operations
- Perform basic welding tasks under supervision
- Conduct post-weld cleaning and finishing operations
- Inspect completed welds for quality and adherence to specifications
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures
- Assist in inventory management of welding supplies and materials

QualificationsRequired:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency in basic welding techniques
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy materials (up to 50 lbs)
- Willingness to work in various environmental conditions (heat, cold, noise)
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations

- Reliable transportation and ability to work flexible hours when needed
Preferred:
- Completion of a welding program or apprenticeship
- Previous experience as a welder helper or in a similar role
