We are seeking a detail-oriented and hardworking Woodworking Machine Operator to join our production team. This role is hands-on and involves operating woodworking machinery, preparing parts, and ensuring high-quality finished products. Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor woodworking machines such as CNC equipment, routers, sanders, planers, and nailers.
- Cut, shape, and smooth wooden parts to specifications.
- Sand products manually or with machinery.
- Inspect wood for defects such as warping, cracks, or swelling.
- Repair imperfections by filling cracks, holes, and joints with caulk, putty, or other materials.
- Follow all safety and environmental guidelines.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and keep work areas clean and organized.
- Assist with other production duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in woodworking, machine operation, or manufacturing is a plus.
- Ability to:
- Stand, bend, stoop, kneel, crawl, and lift up to 40 lbs. regularly (100 lbs. occasionally).
- Safely operate and handle manual and power tools.
- Read and interpret instructions, diagrams, and measurements.
- Perform basic math functions (fractions, decimals, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Problem-solve in standardized production settings.
Work Environment
- Production setting with exposure to moving machinery, airborne particles, chemicals, vibration, and moderate noise.
- Must be comfortable working in a physically demanding and fast-paced environment.
