Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Quality Manager to lead and improve our ISO 9001 quality system within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
This is not a desk-only role—you’ll be on the production floor working closely with operators, engineering, and leadership to drive quality, reduce waste, and improve processes.
Responsibilities
- Own and maintain the ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS)
- Develop and update SOPs, work instructions, and quality documentation
- Drive root cause analysis (RCA), CAPA, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Reduce scrap, defects, and cost of quality (COQ) across converting operations
- Lead internal audits and support customer and external audits
- Oversee incoming, in-process, and final inspections
- Partner with production, maintenance, and engineering to improve quality on the floor
- Work directly with customers and suppliers to resolve quality issues
- Ensure compliance with customer specifications and regulatory requirements
- Track and report quality KPIs (scrap, yield, defects, rework, etc.)
Requirements
- 5-6 years of quality experience in manufacturing (converting, packaging, printing, or similar preferred)
- Strong experience with ISO 9001 systems (implementation and maintenance)
- Hands-on experience with RCA, CAPA, audits, and process improvement
- Experience in high-speed production or roll-to-roll processes is a strong plus
- Ability to read specs/drawings and use inspection and measuring tools
- Comfortable working directly on the production floor
- Proficient in Excel and quality documentation systems

Not a Fit If
- You’ve only worked in corporate or lab environments with little plant exposure
- You prefer managing reports vs. solving problems on the production floor
- You lack hands-on experience with ISO systems, audits, or corrective actions
