Position: Senior Electrical Engineer


Location: Cleveland, Ohio
Work Type: On-site
Experience Required: 720 years (Industrial/Chemical plant experience required)
Job Type: Contract (6 months)

Position Overview


We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for a short-term, high-impact assignment at a chemical plant. This role requires strong expertise in industrial electrical systems, instrumentation, and controls, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced plant environment.

Core Responsibilities


  • Perform electrical engineering design and analysis for industrial projects
  • Develop electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, and one-line diagrams
  • Conduct electrical load studies, short circuit studies, and arc flash analysis
  • Design and specify electrical equipment such as transformers, switchgear, MCCs, and UPS systems
  • Prepare control schematics, grounding systems, and heat tracing designs
  • Lead project teams and coordinate with stakeholders
  • Support field activities including installation checks, troubleshooting, and system validation
  • Act as Project Lead for single-discipline projects (scope development & resource planning)

Required Qualifications


  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited)
  • PE license preferred
  • 720 years of experience in heavy industrial sectors (chemical, petrochemical, manufacturing, energy)
  • Strong knowledge of protective relaying and short circuit analysis
  • Experience with electrical modeling tools (e.g., EasyPower or similar)
  • Experience in instrumentation and control systems

Additional Requirements


  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
  • Willingness to work fully on-site and travel as required
  • Valid drivers license
  • Ability to pass background and drug screening
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and multitasking skills
