About the Role:

We're seeking a motivated Mold Setter to join our team! This is a hands-on position, responsible for safely installing and removing steel molds, tools and related auxiliary equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide ownership and input of injection molding process and equipment for the reduction of defects, overall process improvement, and/or the reduction of downtime.

  • Set up and change over injection molding machines by following established procedures.

  • Ability to recognize equipment breakdown and initiate corrective action/repairs

  • Connect, adjust, and operate auxiliary equipment including chillers, thermolators, gas assist units, hot tip controllers, conveyors, and automation.

  • Safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes.

  • Follow all safety protocols

  • Complete required documentation accurately.

  • Provide input for improving mold setups, minimizing defects, and reducing downtime.

  • Participate in cross-training opportunities and support other team members.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the molding area.

  • Take part in continuous improvement efforts, including 6S, safety, and lean manufacturing initiatives.

  • Engage in company-provided learning opportunities to support your professional growth.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.

  • Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience:

    • Injection mold set up, mold changes, first piece inspection, trouble
      shoot defects, debug etc.

    • Experience starting up and shutting down injection molding presses

    • Experience changing molds using an overhead crane

    • Experience adjusting process parameters to correct cosmetic and dimensional defects in plastic injection
      molded parts

  • Technical skills in troubleshooting and process control.

  • Physical ability for standing, bending, and lifting (up to 50 lbs).

  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving.

  • Consistent work history
