Location: Lincoln Park, MI
Schedule: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Weekend Requirements: Varies
On-Call: None (may require occasional evening/weekend availability based on program needs)
Employment Type: Full-Time, permanent/direct-hire
Compensation
Pay is dependent on licensing and experience. (Position is grant-funded; salary is non-negotiable.)
- Fully Licensed: $71,000 – $94,000 annually
Position Overview
This position requires a Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Professional Counseling. The TFCO Supervisor oversees the administrative and clinical operations of the Treatment Foster Care Oregon (TFCO) Program, supporting staff and ensuring quality, fidelity, and effectiveness of services delivered to children, youth, and families.
Typical hours are Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with occasional evenings or weekends based on program needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical supervision, guidance, and support to program staff.
- Review, organize, and ensure quality of treatment records and documentation.
- Develop strong therapeutic relationships with children, foster families, and biological families.
- Assess needs for routine and emergency mental health services and monitor delivery.
- Make informed daily decisions regarding treatment planning and interventions.
- Assess and coordinate placement decisions, including transitions back to the community.
- Provide or coordinate emergency assessments and crisis intervention as needed.
- Oversee and manage program operations, staff performance, and workflow.
- Monitor and report on program outcomes, fidelity, and effectiveness.
- Complete required reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Professional Counseling.
- Michigan licensure as LMSW, LLP, or LPC.
- Minimum 3 years of experience providing mental health services to children/adolescents.
- Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience.
- Strong clinical skills, including knowledge of DSM diagnostics and intervention strategies.
- Ability to assess and intervene within complex family and community systems.
- Cultural competency and a nonjudgmental, inclusive approach to diverse families.
- Ability to remain calm and effective in crisis situations.
- Valid driver’s license with a favorable driving record.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. (No visa sponsorship available).
Preferred Experience
- Experience working with families in home- or community-based settings
- Knowledge of family therapy modalities and behavioral interventions
- Familiarity with TFCO or similar treatment models
- Experience with electronic medical records
