Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Seeking two skilled Teachers for the Visually Impaired to support K-12 students in Plymouth, MN on a contract basis for the 2025-2026 school year. These roles involve working across 3-4 school buildings with caseloads ranging from 25 to 30 students, primarily those with vision impairments and possibly additional secondary or tertiary disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and support tailored to students with visual impairments.
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to accommodate diverse learning needs.
- Manage caseload efficiently across multiple school sites to ensure consistent student progress.
- Assess student performance and adapt teaching methods as needed.
- Coordinate services and resources to enhance educational outcomes.
Desired Qualifications:
- Certification or relevant training in education for the visually impaired.
- Experience working with students who have vision disabilities, preferably in a K-12 setting.
- Ability to manage multiple locations and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Location: Plymouth, MN (involving travel between multiple schools)
Schedule & Contract Details:
- Full-time, 40 hours per week.
- Contract period from August 25, 2025, to June 5, 2026 (subject to internal hire).
- Competitive pay rate ranging $36-$42 per hour.
