Job Summary

The primary function of this position is to manage and grow a book of middle-market to large Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance clients, specifically within the Real Estate sector. This role emphasizes client retention and relationship development, serving as the primary liaison between clients and insurance carriers.

The Relationship Manager delivers tailored insurance solutions, supports business development efforts, and contributes to departmental growth through strategic marketing and relationship management.


Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management

  • The Relationship Manager develops and maintains robust relationships with existing and prospective clients, acting as a primary point of contact alongside Producers and Account Executives.
  • The incumbent addresses and manages client inquiries, concerns, and claims effectively to ensure industry-leading satisfaction and retention rates.
  • The role involves educating clients on insurance products, market trends, coverage details, and policy benefits.

Technical & Strategic Servicing

  • The Relationship Manager leads end-to-end client servicing, including coverage analysis, renewals, remarketing, quotes, and binding.
  • The position manages technical aspects of the book, including program design, policy reviews, and specialized placements.
  • The Relationship Manager identifies coverage gaps and enhancements to ensure comprehensive protection for real estate assets.

Business Development & Marketing

  • The Relationship Manager implements marketing strategies to increase agency awareness and profitability within existing accounts.
  • The role generates qualified leads and referrals from the existing book of business based on established referral strategies.
  • The incumbent attends industry trade shows and networking events to represent the organization.
  • The Relationship Manager collaborates internally to close new business opportunities and expand account footprints.

Operational Excellence

  • The position maintains accurate documentation and compliance within Agency Management Systems (AMS) and CRM platforms.
  • The Relationship Manager collaborates with vendors, influencers, and decision-makers to develop strategic partnerships.
  • The role participates in VIP account strategy meetings and provides actionable feedback on agency initiatives.


Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 7–10 years in a Commercial Property & Casualty insurance agency.
  • Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of P&C insurance coverages, underwriting, and rating concepts.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep familiarity with Real Estate industry trends, legislation, and specialized insurance products.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Agency Management Systems (e.g., EPIC), CRM software (e.g., Salesforce), and standard office productivity suites.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver professional presentations to executive-level stakeholders.
  • Attitude: A positive, goal-oriented mindset with the ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment.
