An exceptional opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide specialized services within a K-12 school setting in Washington, DC. This contract position offers hands-on experience working onsite with a diverse student population and is ideal for a clinician passionate about pediatrics and school-based therapy.
Key Qualifications:
- Certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with experience in pediatric and school-based settings
- Comfort and proficiency delivering both in-person and teletherapy services
- Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) completion or current CFY status preferred
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators and healthcare professionals
Location:
- Washington, DC position based onsite within a K-12 school environment
Position Details:
- Contract role covering a maternity leave period from January 5, 2026, to June 17, 2026
- Part-time schedule: 20 hours per week, with possibility of up to 24 hours weekly
- Focus on delivering tailored speech therapy services to students across kindergarten through 12th grade
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough speech and language evaluations to identify student needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in alignment with educational goals
- Provide direct speech therapy services using evidence-based techniques
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with school and regulatory requirements
