Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years Rehab RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Provide expert nursing care in a dynamic Long-Term Care (LTC) environment located in Keaau, HI. This role involves delivering comprehensive rehabilitation and LTC services within a hospital-based setting, requiring a dedicated and adaptable Registered Nurse (RN) to manage a variety of patient needs.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications accurately and monitor patient responses.
- Communicate critical patient information promptly to physicians or nurse practitioners.
- Manage patient admissions and discharges efficiently.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
- Provide specialized care including Gastrostomy Tube, Urinary Catheter, Nebulized Treatments, Wound Vac, CPAP, and Tracheostomy care.
- Perform other nursing duties as assigned within the LTC facility.
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required; must possess or obtain a Hawaii State license by the start of the assignment.
- Experience in rehabilitation and long-term care nursing preferred.
- Strong assessment and clinical skills.
- Flexibility to work varied 8-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to arrive in Keaau, HI, the Thursday before the start date for mandatory employee health appointments on Friday.
