Job DescriptionSenior Controls EngineerThis is an exciting role that will be responsible for all things control systems and will be one of the customer-facing experts for the company. This role will be extremely hands-on and will design, program, and troubleshoot control systems, lead on-site migrations, and provide critical technical support to customers. They are headquartered in the Fife, WA area. The company is a small, hands-on team whose mission is to modernize aging control systems in process environments in a variety of industries. If you are an individual who loves to work on a variety of projects and troubleshoot/modify control systems, this role could be for you!Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership and collaborate with senior engineers on projects
  • Design and modify control systems: architecture, networks, PLCs, HMIs, schematics, and panel layouts
  • Develop and implement PLC and HMI programs
  • Lead on-site control system migrations using company processes
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve customer system issues onsite and remotely
  • Oversee panel design, drafting, and build processes
  • Travel to customer sites about one week per month, or roughly 25-30% travel to support troubleshooting, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of customer control systems

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar degree is preferred
  • Professional certifications in (Rockwell, Siemens, networking/security, etc.) are preferred
  • 7+ years of relevant hands-on controls experience in industrial environments is required
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical and software systems
  • Proficiency in PLC and HMI programming (modern and legacy platforms)
  • Experience designing industrial control networks, including OT infrastructure
  • Collaborative, curious mindset with a drive to learn and improve
  • Customer-facing technical experience, including field troubleshooting, is required
  • Willingness to travel 25-30% of the time and work flexible schedules as projects require

Salary Range:

  • $110,000-150,000+ depending on experience
