What You’ll Do
As a Field Service Order Coordinator, you will be responsible for the coordination of the entire service process from beginning to end and play an integral part in the overall operation of the company. You’ll partner with internal departments and external vendors to ensure deadlines are met, resources are available, and the highest quality standards are maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and distribute timely service estimates
- Interpret commitments made to customers by other company employees and clarify when there is confusion or ambiguity
- Responsible for the procurement of all parts, equipment, and tools needed for each job
- Utilize the support and coordinate the work of the service department to ensure each service job is managed with excellence
- Prioritize tasks based on customer need (internal and external)
- Monitor quality from project planning through service completion
- Process service-related warranties and returns to vendors in a timely manner
- Develop and maintains solid relationships with customers both internal and external
- Communicate directly with customers in regards to scope, schedule and cost
- Manage schedules for technicians and other field-service related personnel
- Embody and exhibit Cogent’s core values on a daily basis
Skills & Qualifications
- Three years’ minimum experience in entry level construction management, project management or equivalent
- Ability to perform tasks with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Ability to elicit cooperation and defuse tension, if necessary in a customer service environment
- Knowledge of purchasing and sales techniques
- Excellent project management skills; ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal and phone etiquette skills
- Proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel
- Proficiency in P21 or other accounting/scheduling software programs
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Other items of importance:
- The position is 90% office environment, 10% shop
- Overtime, without prior notice, may be required
- Travel may be required for training purposes
