Note: Critical Care setting | Conscious sedation experience required | Strong IV & phlebotomy skills required
Position Overview:
The ICU Registered Nurse provides high-quality, patient-centered care to critically ill patients in an intensive care setting. The RN utilizes advanced clinical skills, critical thinking, and evidence-based practices to manage complex patient conditions and ensure optimal outcomes.

- Provide direct care to critically ill patients requiring intensive monitoring and interventions.
- Administer and monitor conscious sedation for procedures.
- Perform IV insertion and phlebotomy for medication administration and diagnostic testing.
- Continuously monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and patient status.
- Administer medications, IV drips, and emergency treatments as ordered.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams for patient care planning.
- Respond to emergencies and perform life-saving interventions as needed.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and care progression.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.

Requirements:
Licensure: Active New York State RN License
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of Critical Care experience
Minimum 2 years of Conscious Sedation experience
Minimum 2 years of IV insertion and phlebotomy experience
Certifications:
BLS (AHA) required
ACLS (AHA) required
Unit Details:
Unit: ICU / CCU (Med/Surg Critical Care Unit)
Patient Ratios: 1:2
Patient Population: Adult patients
Patient Diagnoses: Critically ill patients requiring intensive monitoring, sedation, and advanced care management
