- Collaborate with Sales to guide customers toward product builds and formats that support pricing targets and production efficiency
- Build and refine pricing tools and templates in partnership with Finance to increase quote accuracy and workflow speed
- Monitor cost structures including raw materials, labor inputs, and vendor pricing to ensure up-to-date data is informing decisions
- Provide proactive recommendations for margin improvement across product lines
- Participate in product development initiatives by advising on the cost and margin implications of material or format choices
- Use data to evaluate product performance and inform catalog strategy, sunsetting low-performing SKUs and recommending focus areas
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in pricing, cost analysis, or finance roles, preferably within furniture, garment, art, or consumer product manufacturing. Experience in on-demand or made-to-order manufacturing is a major plus.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple pricing configurations and deadlines simultaneously.
- Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills required; strong comfort with data modeling and pricing analysis. ERP experience is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience in margin management, cost analysis, and product pricing strategy, especially in high-SKU or custom environments.
- Solid understanding of margin drivers, quoting workflows, and product strategy within a manufacturing or operations context.
- Proactive and self-directed, with a track record of bringing clarity and structure to complex or ambiguous challenges.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally and collaborating with a variety of stakeholders including sales, operations, and leadership.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field preferred.
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience working in design-forward or artistic product companies (e.g. custom furniture or decor).
- Familiarity with product lifecycle pricing, freight impact on margin, and vendor cost negotiations.
- Understanding of the relationship between design decisions and margin performance.
