Job Title: Quality Engineer

Employee Type: Full Time, Salary

Reports to: Quality Engineering Manager

Job Location: Wichita, KS, USA

Job Duties:

  • Review non-conformances found during auditing; place into Figeac’s NCR system and distribute to applicable business units
  • Review and implement major aerospace OEM’s specifications requirements
  • Create/review NCR’s in accordance with drawings and specifications and internal requirements
  • Create/review & follow up with RCCA's in accordance to QMS and customer requirements
  • Gap analysis of internal process to customer requirements to ensure compliance and approvals
  • Support the maintenance and improvement of the Figeac Aero North America’s Quality Management System
  • Champion internal implemented projects as assigned by management.
  • Support evaluation and implementing processes for new product as needed
  • Support Quality & Production teams as needed or required by management.

Requirements:

  • Previous Quality Engineering experience in an aerospace processing environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferred but not required
  • Must have experience in AS9102 & NADCAP systems
  • FAI experience and familiarity to AS9102 requirements, preferred
  • Knowledge/training of aerospace peen forming, painting and chemical processing preferred
  • Knowledge of measuring equipment preferred (e.g. micrometers, calipers, height gauges, Isoscope etc.)
  • Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret blue prints, general procedures & customer specifications
  • Strong deductive reasoning skills and the ability to adapt quickly.
  • Must be a US Citizen or a current green card holder
  • Must be able to speak, read, write and comprehend English, fluently

Working Conditions:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
  • Some overtime may be necessary
  • Regular attendance is mandatory and must follow all work safety programs
  • The essential duties job may require the ability to stoop; to reach; to stand, to walk and sit for extended periods of time; to push and/or pull objects weighing up to 30 pounds; to lift and carry objects weighing up to 15 pounds; to use finger dexterity to operate a computer and other office equipment and hand strength to grasp files and other objects; to perceive the attributes of objects by touch; to hear and verbally exchange ideas and information with the public, staff and others on the phone and in the office. Frequently being on foot, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, climb stairs and kneeling and/or crouch to retrieve files and other items. Writing to complete reports and service requests.
