Job Description
SUMMARY
As the Quality Team lead, you will assist in the management of quality control activities for all phases of production, personnel and laboratory operations. You wll schedule and assign workloads; and maintain close rapport with production to identify, solve and prevent problems affecting quality. You will also coordinate with production in the monitoring of packaging lines for effective control of weights, metal detection, codes and product/package integrity. The Quality Team Lead will work at the Indianapolis Bakery plant and report directly to the Quality Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- You will be a team member and back-up-lead of the FS&Q Pillar in the Conagra Performance System;
- You will conduct GMP and food safety inspections;
- Execute pathogen monitoring program;
- Disposition product, including investigation of holds;
- Review lab results for completion and compliance to programs;
- Estimate supply costs for budget purposes;
- Manage reporting and communication of weekly KPIs, and process logs;
- You will support new products and R&D trials; and
- You will team with other departments to troublshoot, including investigation of complaint reports, consumer complaints, participate in sanitation alerts and root cause analysis.
- You will train and mentor the quality team.
- As the Quality Team Lead, you will supervise Quality Technicians and Coordinators (hourly) across multiple shifts.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- B.S. degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or related field is required
- Two years of experience in a food, beverage or dairy production environment is required
- PCQI and/or HACCP Certification is preferred
- Proficient in SAP is preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, you will be required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle or touch materials, reach above shoulders, and climb stairs and ladders. Hearing and smelling are required. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus. The work environment can be a wet production environment with loud noises.

Compensation:
Pay Range:$59,000-$78,000
The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
