COMPANY OVERVIEW

CPI Radant is the radome-and-composite‐structures division of Communications & Power Industries LLC (CPI). They are formally known as CPI Radant Technologies Division, and they serve the aerospace, defense, naval, and commercial industries by designing, manufacturing, testing and supporting advanced composite radomes, reflectors and structural composite products.

Radomes are special “domes” made of composite materials that protect antennas and radar systems from the environment while allowing electromagnetic signals to pass. CPI Radant produces these for critical applications, meaning:

  • They enable secure communications and radar/electronic-warfare capabilities for military and commercial aerospace platforms.
  • Their manufacturing includes large apertures and high‐frequency performance.
  • Their advances in composite manufacturing and large structures feed into modern aircraft, satellites, naval vessels, etc.

CPI Composite Structures is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Shipper/Receiver to join our team. In this hands-on role, you will be directly involved in ensuring our products are prepared for shipping to our customers using the highest quality standards, as well as receive and process incoming material. This position is on site at our Hudson Manufacturing facility.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This is an on-site position at our Hudson, Massachusetts facility
  • Hours are 7:30 am - 4:00 pm
  • Flexibility to change course base on priorities, including possible overtime to cover late shipments
  • Effectively work in a team-based environment and willingness to flex to where the work is (not just on the dock)
  • Prepare merchandise for shipping; maintain records, check invoices and bills of lading
  • Process outgoing shipments
  • Uses computer system for processing, tracking, logging, verifying, and reporting
  • Processes shipment of items on system, process freight bills, packing sheets, and other documents
  • Solid ability to communicate effectively cross-functionally, including with management, Security, and Quality, as well as with customers and vendors
  • Need to be able to lift 70 pounds
  • Fork truck experience preferred or willing to learn
  • Current driver's license with good driving record; will drive company vehicle periodically (transferring material locally)
  • Will be expected to perform assembly & basic wood working, including hand tools and basic power tools
  • $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
  • Shipping background is preferred, and should be fluent in basic PC and MS Office, and ERP and Carrier systems are a plus
  • Will be expected to wear steel-toe / protective footwear
  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident

EDUCATION

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 4 years of related experience.
  • An AA Degree or certification in assigned area is preferred if appropriate.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Bending, squatting, standing, climbing, and walking may be required
  • Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds at times
  • Reliable transportation necessary
  • Ability to obtain forklift license may be required
