Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join our team in Long Island City, New York. This is a Contract to permanent position that offers the opportunity to contribute to various human resources functions, including employee relations, onboarding, and benefits administration. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HR processes and systems, and a proactive approach to supporting organizational goals.
Responsibilities:
• Handle employee relations matters, including addressing concerns and resolving conflicts to maintain a positive workplace environment.
• Oversee the onboarding process to ensure new team members have a seamless transition into the company.
• Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollment, updates, and addressing inquiries.
• Maintain and update HRIS systems to ensure accurate and organized employee data.
• Provide guidance and support to employees and managers regarding HR policies and procedures.
• Assist with compliance efforts by ensuring adherence to labor laws and company standards.
• Conduct training sessions and workshops to enhance employee development and awareness.
• Collaborate with management to identify and implement HR strategies that align with organizational goals.
• Prepare reports and analyze HR metrics to support decision-making processes.
• Manage administrative HR tasks, such as recordkeeping and documentation.• Proven experience in employee relations, onboarding, and benefits administration.
• Proficiency in using HRIS systems to manage employee data and processes.
• Strong knowledge of human resources policies, procedures, and relevant labor laws.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with employees and management.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
• Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Familiarity with training and development practices is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
