Salary: From $26.00-$27.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour shift

Position Summary
The HR Recruiter & Onboarding Specialist supports both talent acquisition and new hire onboarding
activities. This is a dual-function role responsible for sourcing and screening candidates, coordinating
interviews, managing pre-employment requirements, launching onboarding tasks, facilitating new hire
orientation, and ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards. This role partners closely
with HR leadership and department heads to ensure a seamless, positive, and compliant hiring
experience.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
? Post, update, and manage job announcements across multiple platforms.
? Source candidates through job boards, databases, networking, and community resources.
? Conduct initial phone screenings and assess candidate qualifications.
? Schedule and facilitate interviews with hiring managers.
? Maintain consistent communication and provide timely updates to applicants.
? Represent Connections NW professionally, promoting our mission and values.
? Track recruitment metrics, applicant data, and hiring progress.
Onboarding & New Hire Experience
? Launch, manage, and monitor onboarding tasks through the HRIS system.
? Support candidates through offer acceptance, pre-employment steps, and initial onboarding.
? Schedule and host New Hire Orientation sessions.
? Complete I-9 verifications in accordance with federal guidelines.
? Initiate and track background checks and all compliance requirements.
? Schedule new hire trainings and ensure timely completion.
? Facilitate onboarding for rehires and pre-approved providers.
? Maintain accurate and secure electronic employee files and documentation.
Administrative & Compliance Responsibilities
? Prepare internal communications such as memos, emails, reports, and presentations.
? Maintain applicant tracking systems, recruitment files, and onboarding records.
? Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
? Uphold strict confidentiality and professional handling of sensitive information.
? Provide general administrative support to the HR team as needed.
Qualifications
? 2+ years of experience in HR, recruiting, scheduling, or office administration.
? Strong knowledge of onboarding processes and HR best practices.
? Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
? Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
? Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
? Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
? Experience with HRIS systems (Paylocity preferred), Microsoft Office, and Google Suite.
? Ability to act with professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
? High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred
? Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field—or equivalent experience.
? Experience in healthcare, social services, or staffing agency environments.
? Bilingual (English/Spanish).
? Typing speed of 80 WPM.
Work Environment
? Primarily remote or hybrid schedule depending on departmental needs.
? Fast-paced, collaborative environment focused on high-quality service delivery.
? Occasional in-office days as required.
