Salary Range: $58,000 - $90,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate, assemble, and repair dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges according to specifications.
- Operate conventional and CNC machine tools, including lathes, mills, grinders, and EDM.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and CAD models to determine tooling requirements.
- Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, and other inspection tools to ensure accuracy.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair malfunctions in existing tooling and production equipment.
- Select appropriate materials and heat treatments for tool construction and modification.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations and procedures.
Recommended Qualifications
- Completion of a recognized Tool Maker apprenticeship or equivalent trade school certification.
- Proficiency in operating a variety of manual and CNC machine tools (mills, lathes, grinders, EDMs).
- Expert ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications.
- Skilled in the use of precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges, optical comparators).
- Strong understanding of various metals, alloys, and plastics, including their properties and machining characteristics.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve tooling issues.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, Mastercam)
- Proficiency in CNC programming and operation
- Familiarity with advanced metrology equipment (e.g., CMM, optical comparator)
- Basic welding or heat treatment knowledge
