Supply Chain Manager – 1st Shift (8:00 AM Start)
Position Summary:
The Supply Chain Manager plays both a strategic and tactical role in ensuring the efficient, cost-effective, and compliant flow of materials, components, and finished goods across the supply chain. This position oversees:

In-house production of dental care products

Management of co-packers and contract manufacturers
-
Global procurement of ingredients and packaging components
-
Turnkey manufacturing partnerships and logistics
This role leads end-to-end supply chain activities that drive production planning, service levels, cost optimization, and inventory control. The Supply Chain Manager serves as a key liaison between internal teams-including Operations, Quality, Regulatory, and R&D-and external suppliers, reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesProcurement & Global Sourcing

Develop and manage sourcing strategies for key raw materials (e.g., sorbitol, fluoride, surfactants, flavors, essential oils, excipients).

Source and qualify global suppliers for primary and secondary packaging (tubes, bottles, pumps, cartons, laminates, shrink sleeves, caps).

Build and maintain a robust supplier network across the U.S., Asia, and Europe.

Negotiate pricing, contracts, MOQs, and lead times to achieve cost and risk objectives.

Conduct supplier audits and performance reviews to ensure quality, reliability, and compliance.

Evaluate and onboard turnkey manufacturers for full-service product solutions.
Production & Co-Packer Management
-
Align material availability with manufacturing schedules and production forecasts.
-
Serve as the main contact for co-packers, overseeing timelines, inventory flow, and delivery performance.
-
Manage hybrid supply models by coordinating material supply to co-packers as needed.

Track KPI performance (OTIF, yield, quality deviations, responsiveness).
-
Ensure production aligns with demand forecasts, product launches, and marketing campaigns.
Turnkey Product Management
-
Identify and manage suppliers for turnkey products (mouthwash, toothpaste, whitening kits, flossers, etc.).

Verify that vendors meet brand, quality, and regulatory standards.
-
Oversee sample approvals, labeling, and production readiness.
-
Manage import logistics, timelines, and documentation for turnkey items.
Inventory & Demand Planning
-
Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Demand Planning to forecast and align procurement and production.
-
Maintain optimal inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished goods.
-
Implement safety stock and replenishment policies to avoid stockouts or overages.
-
Conduct inventory variance analysis and implement corrective actions.
Logistics & International Supply Chain
-
Manage global logistics including ocean and air freight, customs clearance, and warehousing.

Partner with 3PLs, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to optimize lead times and cost.

Monitor freight costs, duties, tariffs, and seek consolidation opportunities.
-
Resolve shipping discrepancies and damage claims promptly.
Systems, Compliance & Documentation
-
Maintain accurate data in ERP/MRP systems (SAP, NetSuite, Oracle).
-
Ensure compliance with GMP, FDA, ISO, and other relevant standards.
-
Maintain contracts, supply agreements, COAs, and MSDS documentation.
-
Support internal and external audits with complete traceability records.
Qualifications
Education:
-
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

Master's degree or MBA preferred.
-
APICS CPIM, CSCP, or equivalent certification strongly preferred.
Experience:
-
7–10 years of progressive experience in supply chain management within CPG, oral care, personal care, or pharmaceutical industries.

Proven success managing in-house and external manufacturing (co-packers, turnkey vendors).
-
Deep knowledge of global sourcing, particularly for ingredients and packaging.

Experience with import/export logistics, customs, and international trade compliance.

Familiarity with dental care formulations and relevant regulatory environments (FDA OTC monograph, ISO 22716) preferred.
