Do you love sharing God’s love through laughter, play, and learning? We’re looking for a Preschool Teacher Assistant who can bring creativity, high energy, and joy into the classroom while planting seeds of faith while “Pointing Little Lives to Jesus.” If singing Bible songs, teaching through play, and helping children discover God through the Bible brings you joy, we’d love to meet you!



The Teacher Assistant supports the teachers and director by helping to create a caring and safe environment for the children and assists in activities to improve the overall care and quality of education. S/he must be able to communicate, listen, and work well with others in a team environment. S/he will assist staff in implementing a quality educational program and will develop positive relationships with the children and their parents. When needed, the Teacher Assistant will be responsible for direct oversight of children.

  • Assist in the implementation of curricula activities and encourage participation by children.
  • Actively engage in activities; manage cleanliness, maintenance, and availability of classroom materials.
  • Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions.
  • Encourage self-help and good hygiene through behavior modeling.
  • Follow all center policies and state regulations.
  • Assist with a variety of tasks to ensure the flow of daily operations.



Requirements

Requirements | Experience

  • Professing Christian with a Biblically sound salvation experience that is clearly communicated.
  • Exhibit a Christ-like servant attitude.
  • Strong commitment to a Biblical worldview.
  • Maintain a personal appearance that is a Christian role model of cleanliness, modesty, good taste, and in agreement with ministry policy.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of professional child care experience.
  • High energy and ability to interact well with children, stoop, sit on the floor and lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
  • An understanding of child development and age-appropriate practices.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Must clear full background check and pass health screening.



Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working in a Christian environment.
  • Experience teaching the Bible.
