Hourly Range: $28-$32 per hour

Job Summary:
The Plumber – Senior Level (Master) is an expert professional responsible for leading complex plumbing installations and ensuring quality control for modular homes at Mytikas Steel’s production facility. This role involves training and mentoring junior plumbers, overseeing plumbing projects, and ensuring compliance with design specifications and industry standards. The Master Plumber operates with limited supervision and plays a key leadership role in the plumbing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead complex plumbing installations, including advanced piping systems, fixtures, and appliances, for modular homes.
  • Conduct quality control checks to ensure plumbing systems meet design specifications, industry standards, and code requirements.
  • Train and mentor Entry- and Mid-Level Plumbers, providing guidance on installation techniques, safety, and code compliance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve advanced plumbing issues, ensuring system reliability and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with plumbing codes (e.g., IPC), safety standards, and industry regulations, including overseeing inspections.
  • Read and interpret advanced blueprints and schematics to guide plumbing projects.
  • Collaborate with production teams to align plumbing work with project goals and schedules.
  • Lead process improvements to enhance plumbing system efficiency, safety, and quality.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; advanced training or degree in plumbing or related fields preferred.
  • Experience: 7+ years of plumbing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role, preferably in manufacturing or construction, and 8,500 hours of documented practical experience per Colorado DORA requirements.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Expert proficiency in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex plumbing systems.
    • Advanced knowledge of plumbing codes (e.g., IPC), safety regulations, and industry standards.
    • Strong ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and schematics.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Exceptional leadership and mentoring abilities.
    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Certifications: Master Plumber license issued by the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) required (DORA). OSHA safety training or additional certifications (e.g., ASSE Backflow Prevention) are a plus.

Work Environment:

  • On-site at Mytikas Steel’s production facility in Florence, Colorado.

  • Schedule: 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (40 hours total).
